Software Engineering Program Manager

Piper Companies is seeking a Software Engineering Program Manager to join an established Electronics Manufacturing company located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. This position is Hybrid, and requires you to be onsite Tuesday-Thursday. The Software Engineering Program Manager will join a global team and lead the development of next-gen automotive experiences.

Responsibilities of the Software Engineering Program Manager:

• Facilitate alignment and collaboration among software development teams and internal stakeholders to design, construct, test, and deliver software in a timely manner with high quality.

• Lead delivery of enabling technologies, manage interdependencies, and mitigate risks.

• Foster relationships with technical experts, stakeholders, and senior management.

• Manage project requirements, scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks while demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications of the Software Engineering Program Manager:

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a related industry.

• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and critical thinking skills.

• Ability to establish and maintain key partnership engagements.

• Experience in managing firmware suppliers and third-party development partners.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the challenges of hybrid agile/waterfall approaches.

• Prior software development and test experience with embedded applications, C, C++, MATLAB, or Python is a plus.

• Automotive and ASPICE experience is a plus.

• Bachelors Degree in relevant engineering discipline or Masters Degree.

Compensation for the Software Engineering Program Manager:

Salary Range: 140,000-175,000depending on experience
