CACI Company 32, which develops advanced systems for the US Government, is seeking a highly talented Software Engineering Manager to join our Fusion Analysis & Development Effort (FADE) team in our Denver Tech Center (DTC) location.

The FADE team develops software that advances tradecraft for the intelligence analyst and warfighter, in three areas of focus: Spatial-temporal analysis, object based production, and activity based intelligence. FADE works directly with operational users to design, develop, and maintain capabilities that help analysts manage, filter and fuse data from multiple sources of intelligence, allowing them to assess, monitor and alert on actionable findings in direct support of vital national security missions. FADE's software platform is developed and deployed on secure AWS cloud environments and on edge devices to best support our users where they need it.
FADE develops and maintains a vast data analytics software suite. You will manage the Data Services engineering team responsible for design, development, test, deployment, monitoring and maintenance of the software's backend data ingest, persistence and retrieval services. You will support career development for engineering staff, keep them motivated, remove roadblocks, keep the team on task, and provide general guidance. You will partner and collaborate with customer stakeholders and peers to define features, lead story decomposition, perform capacity estimation and program increment planning. You will be the point of escalation, triage and mitigation for production related matters for Data Services.
You will join a management team accustomed to navigating the demands of a high importance program. You will be surrounded by a talented team of managers, mission engineers, software developers, SREs and operational analysts who engage hourly with users and customers working to meet critical mission needs. You will have the support of an incredibly flexible and responsive team of security and logistics personnel.
What You'll Get to Do:
Apply expertise in building the team and processes to support the growing demand on the program while increasing quality and innovation of Data Services delivered products
Gather, review and assess agile-related metrics to support resource planning
Perform resource planning within your product team to deliver desired features within established stakeholder budgets
Plan and execute the planning activities leading up to each quarterly engineering design review (defines scope for the next program increment)
Regularly connect with managers, peer product owners, scrum masters and technical leads and others to remove roadblocks and ensure strong morale
Support recruiting, interviewing and hiring activities
Help plan and manage product team resources, including appropriate skill set distribution (i.e. server vs. client developers, testers, SREs, infrastructure) in order to execute scope and schedule
Perform quarterly career development and performance review touchpoints with direct reporting staff
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
You are a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance; a current polygraph is preferred, else obtainable within 6 months of start
Minimum 6 years related work experience in software engineering/management
University Degree (BA/BS) in engineering or equivalent experience
Direct experience with Agile software development and scrum management methodologies
Strong understanding of methods, techniques and technologies used in modern software development lifecycles; infrastructure, design, development, test/QA, deployment, monitoring and maintenance
Team management and facilitating collaboration and cohesiveness
Communicating with upper management, government customers, military/former military, and all aspects of a software engineering team
Team player - support, back-up and collaborate with all levels of the engineering team and associated operations integration team
Strong communication - clear, concise, collaborative, comfortable presenting to groups, well-spoken/written, capable of delivering bad news to customers or employees
Be a 'servant leader', "How can I help?" - Listen for innovative ideas, listen and understand issues, mediate conflicts, listen to off-the-wall concepts,
and help execute, fix or develop
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Software development background and experience, and the desire to pitch in and assist in development alongside your staff
Understanding of UI/UX best practices and experience integrating with government software development processes
Exposure/experience in any of these areas will be helpful in your role: Docker/Kubernetes, Key-value Data Stores (i.e. Accumulo, HBase, Cassandra), Document-Oriented Data Stores (i.e. Elasticsearch, Solr), Graph Databases (i.e. OrientDB, Neo4j), Hadoop MapReduce and/or Apache Spark, Apache Storm, Amazon Web Services, Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and OGC WMS/WFS, Javascript, HTML5, CSS and RESTful APIs, Angular, Yarn, NPM, Node, Cesium, OpenLayers, Java, Jenkins, GIT

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$94,800.00 - $194,300.00
