Software Engineering Manager (HCE)

Honeywell has an amazing opportunity for an experienced Software Engineering Manager in our Cleveland, Ohio location.
In our Honeywell Buildings Technologies (HBT) group, our vision is to deliver integrated and connected solutions that meet the dynamic and changing needs of our customer and the markets we serve. As a member of our global team, you will have the opportunity to work with key personnel in multiple sites in North America, Europe and Asia.
You will use strategic thinking to help establish and implement direction for new business opportunities, products and processes in support of strategies. You will be accountable to lead a dynamic software team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex software functions with Honeywell business groups. You will also will mentor software engineers working to create new and enhanced solutions for our customer's Smart Building needs. This includes collaborating on platform architectures, designing solutions via services and app, writing software and ensuring successful validation of the entire system across application, component and system boundaries. Honeywell's new devices and systems are connected to the cloud which enable our customers to more efficiently and proactively interact with their building to improve sustainability, comfort and operations.
Implement best practices for software and hardware development, including phase-gate new product development and agile software development
Product Development and R&D of hospitality and retail control systems
Deliver application and services to validate and ensure the portfolio meets all operational standards
Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver the valuable outcomes our customers desire
Talent management and development, lead and build the domain skills set for business success

YOU MUST HAVE:
Experience working across global sites and development teams; Proven team building, personnel motivation and engineering recruitment skills
Knowledge of engineering and control systems for automation, building management, hvac, lighting, fire or security
Experience on SAFe or alternative agile frameworks
Working knowledge of IoT principles, principally in designing cloud-based, service-oriented solutions
Experience managing solutions deployed across multiple cloud computing platforms: Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS or IBM Bluemix
Strong application/product development/Devops experience
Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices
Ability to understand vision and implement across organizations and teams
Cyber Security Certifications (CSSLP is a plus)
