We are seeking a Software Engineering Intern (part-time) to join our Software Development Team that manages software for hardware that goes in slot machines in casinos. The ideal candidate should have some background in software development, programming, and problem-solving and will be working on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions.

• This position is open to candidates in the Egg Harbor Township, NJ area and requires working in the office/lab 2 days or more a week. The target start date is May 20th, 2024 and the internship will run through Summer and Fall.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of design, development, and writing unit and integration tests for applications by assisting experienced Software Engineers

• Plan and take responsibility for owning your work & be flexible to deal with deadlines and changes or issues occurring as a natural process of software development.

• Learn about evaluating user requests for new or modified computer programs to determine feasibility, and compatibility with current systems and computer capabilities.

• Perform reasonable functional and unit tests on completed code ensuring it enters the Software Quality Assurance process with minimal defects.

• Assist in analyzing, reviewing, debugging, and altering programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.

• Implement/Modify Software modules in due course, to be used in production by adhering to in-house/project coding/design styles, tools, and methodologies.

• Coding to be done in C#, C++, Angular JS, HTML, and React JS and would involve tasks like analyzing and modifying Software modules to achieve the required functional behavior.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science or a similar degree.

• Exposure to C#.Net, Angular JS, React JS is preferable.
