As the Software Engineering Community and Process Lead for our Dell Pivotal Transformation program, your responsibilities include:
Shepherding the transformation of our Software Engineering craft and culture at Dell, leveraging agile Persona-based and Customer-centric enablement techniques that spread XP and Cloud Native practices and learnings throughout the organization (leveraging the Dell Pivotal Way Software methodology)
Creating content that assists in enabling others, and facilitating enablement sessions, bootcamps and workshops, for balanced teams and business and IT stakeholders
Working collaboratively with global business & IT organizations and leaders, consulting as trusted advisor to stakeholders, including formal advice, executive customer presentations, assessments, and speaking engagements at industry conferences
Working across multiple application teams and projects concurrently, to help foster the balanced teams to create an overall positive experience and successfully deliver customer and business value needs in our Dell Pivotal way.
As part of our Digital Transformation Program you'll work closely with other developers, product managers, designers, architects, and business stakeholders to change the way Dell delivers software to its internal users and customers. This transformation program has three primary goals:
Expand a Lean Startup, User Centered Design and Extreme Programming based Lab
Enable new capabilities, and seamless user experiences across product, marketing, commerce and services
Empower all Dell Technologies businesses to create experiences to meet their customer and business needs more frequently, efficiently and with excellent quality
You will get to be part of the Digital Transformation team looking to change the way we do business, with a focus on driving customer and business value and delivering products in a faster more efficient way to delight customers. Bachelor's degree plus 12 years of experience or Master's plus 8 years (or, equivalent experience);
Experience to include:
Working collaboratively across multiple application teams, and working globally with Leaders in business & IT organizations
Process lead experience in IT or Business transformation
Creating content that assists in enabling others, facilitating enablement sessions / bootcamps / workshops
Building and delivering software, preferably in a technical lead or consulting capacity
Demonstrated strong commitment to software craftsmanship, writing and maintaining very high quality code
Knowledge of cloud native architectures and infrastructure
Knowledge of Functional & Automated Testing, and overall understanding of best practices such as TDD, BDD and CI/CD techniques
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including some international travel
Experience with Pivotal Software's development methodology
Experience contributing to open source projects
Public speaking at user groups, conferences, etc.
