As a Software Engineer you will be part of the team building the next generation tech stack that will deliver Acxiom's Identity Builder product.

What you will need:

  • 5+ years core Java experience in building business logic layers and back-end systems for high-volume pipelines

  • Experience with Spark streaming and Scala

  • Current experience in Spark, Hadoop, MapReduce and HDFS, Cassandra / HBase

  • Understanding of data flows, data architecture, ETL and processing of structured and unstructured data

  • Current experience developing and deploying distributed Big Data system using Spark / Hadoop to a public cloud (AWS, GCP)

  • Database Design/Programming (MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle)

  • Experience with DevOps tools (Git, Jira) and methodologies (Lean, Agile, Scrum, Test Driven Development)

  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or a related technical field (MS preferred).


What will set you apart:

  • Cloud development and deployment experience into AWS / GCP cloud environments using Kubernetes / OpenShift / Docker / OpenStack / Microservices technologies

  • Experience working with front end development such as AngularJS and TypeScript

  • Experience performing Identity Resolution on large amount of PII data

Your Accountabilities in the Role: * Researches, analyzes, and gathers information from end user systems, industry guides, systems flow, data usage and other areas to plan, design, and validate electrical control solutions that will enhance the current system efficiencies. * Evaluates the current operational systems and prints, and troubleshoot problems and looks for efficiencies, to debug or enhance the control systems. * Determines material and component specifications for new or enhanced systems to ensure the project is completed in a high-quality way, that is aligned to due dates. * Creates and documents electrical schematics, prints, programming and other material for later use by others to understand the system flow. * Mentors others in the design, development, and enhancement features of the systems to help continually grow the team. Requirements Position Requirements: * Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering; Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology degree or any relative degree program preferred; would consider a combination of course work and experience in the field. * Experience: 5+ years of progressive technical experience in a related PLC programming field required * Certification(s): Accredited training in PLC programming preferred. * Functional Skills: Excellent ability to research, analyze and gather information and intel to design effective electrical control solutions, focused on the goal of the customer; exceptional organizational skills with a high attention to detail and a strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and due dates; excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to create schematics/documents are also required. * Technology Aptitude/Skills: Experience and knowledge of designing and programming PLC's: Allen Bradley - CompactLogix, ControlLogix, SLC500, PLC5, MicroLogix; Experience with HMI - Allen Bradley: Panelview or Panelview Plus; Experience with Communications: Allen Bradley Ethernet I/P, ControlNet, Devicenet; Additional knowledge with WiFi network design, Windows Software Development, UL Custom Panel Building, and Microsoft Programming and CAD experience (AutoDesk AutoCAD preferred) is required; RFID would be a plus. * Language Skills: Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal and external clients.
