Software Engineer (web development)



An ideal candidate for this Software Engineer position will be someone who can work effectively on a small team to implement rapid change to a custom web platform with applications supporting various manufacturing resources around the plant. The intent of this platform is to provide real-time reporting and information from large data sets generated in a production environment with dynamic scope to provide the most efficient tools possible to personnel in their day-to-day work. It is possible to learn the development environment on the job, but experience with Python / PHP is a plus.

Core Responsibilities

  • new development for custom web applications
  • software debugging and failure analysis
  • support for existing applications on a rotating (or as needed) basis
  • participate in regular meetings for project status and alignment of prioritization
  • maintain 5S Best in Class organizational and cleanliness standards in work area
  • additional development through benchmarking, seminars, or continued education


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent

  • High level language coding skills

  • Experience with PHP and/or Python

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to work well with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong problem solving skills.

  • Ability to handle many small projects at the same time.

  • Proficiency in data mining, analysis and various Office applications

  • Project Management skills

  • Exceptional computer skills

  • Willing and able to support a 24/7 manufacturing operations

  • Potential for up to 10% travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ASP and C# is also a nice-to-have

Manufacturing Development Program - MDP (San Antonio) Gain first-hand experience across a broad range of functions and departments in a leading beverage manufacturer as a member of our Manufacturing Development Program (MDP). Through this 15-month rotational program, you will be a crucial member of the manufacturing team with the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the business by sharing your innovative ideas with team members and leadership. Following the MDP, a participant will be ready to take on a leadership role at one of our Niagara plant locations. As an MDP participant, you will work with the different departments listed below within a Niagara plant and spend approximately three months working on a Six Sigma Project. This piece of the program will help prepare the MDP for a Supervisor role upon graduation.
