We are currently seeking a Software Engineer (full stack web developer) to research, designs, and develop computer software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, write, debug, test, and document software applications and configurations relating to customer project solutions and/or product solutions.

  • Modify, debug, and test existing programs written by various authors in varying styles in an efficient manner.

  • Work with end users on gathering requirements.

  • Work and communicate effectively with project managers and team members.

  • Provide user friendly training, support and follow-up as necessary.

  • Follow the software development process methodology.

  • Remain current on emerging technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field with a minimum of five (5) years related experience and/or training preferred.

  • Required knowledge of Web Frameworks (such as Vue\Angular\React), C#, JavaScript and\or REST Services with demonstrated project experience utilizing these technologies.

  • Desired skills include XAML, Azure Cloud Services, WPF, MVVM, ASP .NET, and/or HTML 5.

  • Willingness to travel to customer, vendor and industry meeting locations, if required.

The position involves: * Working with the current programs of record to continue development of a common, flexible architecture that is extensible to future programs. * Assist in laying the framework in the form of modular blocks, allowing configuration from installation to installation. * Participation in technical meetings and design reviews (both internally and externally) * Ensuring SW team adherence to the CMMI and Surveillance U.S. SW Development process (including proper documentation and CM related activities) * Determine, document, and enforce methods for complying with desired software development practices (open technology requirements, safety and security, information assurance, metrics tracking, CM release plan, etc.) * Participation in peer/technical reviews * Planning for and participation in system integration. * Collaborating with a development team of up to 4-6 developers. * Ensuring consistent development practices and architecture among all developers. Skills and Experience: Required: * BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering discipline (or similar) * 15+ years of software development/architecture experience * 5+ years of team or project leadership experience * Experience in C/C++ software development, with specific experience with the following: * Static and dynamic code analysis * Development in a POSIX/Linux environment * Strong skills in architecture and Class Frameworks * UML modeling tools for software design * Experience developing software under CERT and CWE standards * Must have or be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance Desired Experience: * With software development in a Linux environment * Developing software for radar applications * With CORBA and DDS * With middleware such as ACE+TAO, BOOST * Using GoogleTest/GoogleMock unit test framework * With Klocwork, Coverity and SonarQube code analysis tools * Using Subversion (SVN) for configuration management. * Using the Atlassian JIRA/Confluence/Crucible tool sets Must be a U.S. citizen.
