Job Title: Software Engineer

Location: Dayton, Ohio

Department: IS - Information Services

Reports To: Director of Enterprise Architecture

We are looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our team, to work on APIs and web applications. You will be working on current technologies and influence/provide inputs to technology and architecture direction.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design and develop code from requirement specifications.

  • Document requirements and test cases.

  • Perform testing (unit, independent, system and performance).

  • Test Automation.

  • Learn and implement new development processes and methodologies.

  • Develop cloud-based SaaS applications in the saas product domain(Proto-typing, Coding, Unit Test).

  • Work through issues independently and demonstrate analytical and abstract problem-solving.

  • Understand challenges and best practices in the domain and implement best in class solutions.

  • Communicate with all stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Natural curiosity and willingness to learn new concepts

  • Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

  • Software development experience, including Java/JEE.

  • Good grasp of engineering/software architecture principles and patterns.

  • Ability to develop RESTful APIs Spring Boot, Spring Framework, JPA, JDBC, Nodejs and related technologies.

  • Knowledge of open-source Java libraries and Frameworks NoSQL databases, MySQL database development.

  • Ability to develop unit tests and integration tests using JUnit.

  • Should have worked on AWS cloud.87
