Come join VMware's new exciting Modern Applications Platform Business Unit (MAPBU), made up of products and services under the Tanzu portfolio to help customers build, run and manage their most important applications. VMware customers are increasingly deploying containers as the foundation of their application modernization efforts. The MAPBU team delivers best-in-class enterprise cloud-native solutions - supporting container frameworks such as Kubernetes.
You will be joining a team within the Tanzu Dev Ecosystems group. This highly-distributed Tanzu team is working on developer tooling with an initial focus on providing live information about applications running on Kubernetes.
You will be joining a fast-paced, startup-like team working on all aspects of the solution. This includes Kubernetes components to identify applications, collect the data from them via available endpoints like Spring Boot actuators and communicate that to a dashboard via RSocket, make data available as custom resources in Kubernetes, and more. The dashboard being a modern UI utilising Angular (with possible React involved in the future).
Being productive in this distributed team requires strong communication skills and over time you may have the opportunity to interface with many other parts of the organization, work with customers and/or present the product at events/conferences.
The developer tooling is part of the much bigger Tanzu story and you will be collaborating with teams across the organization to produce an optimal Tanzu experience for our customers.
