Responsibilities:

The role requires gathering requirements, analysis, design, coding, testing and documentation of various business applications in a Retail Order Management environment. Working with Business Critical applications that interface with other applications, and platforms.

Additionally, the Lead/Senior Developer takes a prominent role in working with the business users, project managers, and others within the IT organization to ensure all aspects of the tasks and/or projects are completed based on business and functional requirements.

The candidate must be innovative and creative in solving complex problems, leading project teams and work in an environment where requirements may continually evolve, while still adhering to IT standards.

Duties:

Analyze requirements, functional design, and architectural design documents to determine coding needed within Order Management area

Develops technical project documentation including, flowcharts, diagrams, and Technical Design documents

Design and build innovative robust solutions to Business requirements

Ability to look at problems and requirements holistically in a complex landscape

Develop / modify functionality within an established application framework

Develop unit test plans and conduct unit test as per test plans

Provide estimates for completion of Developer Technical Design Documents

Manages work and assists team members to meet specified due dates for tasks and projects to deliver on time and on budget

Proactive in providing status updates on tasks and projects to team members

Accountable for relationships with internal business customers, peers, management team

Agile and flexible to accommodate changes in business, working in a collaborative environment

Excellent communication skills

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and minimum of 10 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
10+ years Development experience on the iSeries platform
4+ years of team leadership

RPG-ILE and RPG-FREE

Strong troubleshooting skills

Advantageous experience:

Experience in an Order Management / Retail environment

Experience with User spaces, MQ, SQL

Experience with Turnover, Robot, Hawkeye

Experience working within an Agile / Scrum environment

Other Information:

Graduate degree preferred.

The candidate hired into this position will spend his/her time working on development/manual testing/automated testing, based on the current priorities and the needs of the team. The ideal candidate would have a good understanding of Software Quality Assurance & Testing processes, prior Software Development experience, prior Software Testing experience including Black box/White box/Gray box testing, implementation of automated tests at the code level using Unit & Integration tests, etc. Bridger is a high profile regulatory compliance product within LN: a key product for our international market. Bridger performs screening of billions of customer accounts on a monthly basis; performance and stability are the key! The environment is very fast paced; the candidate must be a very fast learner and be able to quickly adapt to changes. QUALIFICATIONS: * 5+ years of Quality Test Engineering experience * BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required TECHNICAL SKILLS * C# .NET MVC * C# WCF/SOAP Services * xUnit * Web 2.0 Application Development * HTML/JavaScript/CSS * jQuery/Bootstrap (optional: React, Angular, Knockout) * Entity Framework and/or Dapper * Git source control * Advanced SQL knowledge (MySQL & SQL Server) * Windows Services * Basic Windows Server Administration * Continuous Integration Software (Jenkins/Hudson), Deployments, PowerShell Scripting * Parsing and understanding of log file (IIS, Application, Event Viewer, etc..).
