We are looking for a hardworking engineer to join our Data Platform team, developing the high-performance, big data components that power New Relic's extraordinary suite of software analytics products.

What You'll Do
Design and implement the next generation New Relic data model.
Increase the capabilities of our high throughput data streaming pipeline to deliver amazing features to our customers while maintaining high availability of service.
Improve our deployment and testing automation pipelines to ensure we can continue to move quickly and with confidence.
You have experience in software development using Java.
A deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals.
You have a love of operations, monitoring, data, and building great customer experiences.
DevOps experience in software development running systems for companies that run a 24x7 business.
Knowledge of distributed systems, concurrency problems, and JVM performance.
Our architecture is designed around Apache Kafka, and every single one of our services interacts with Kafka in one way or another. Experience with Kafka or other data pipeline technologies is a plus, but not required.
Experience with containers such as Docker or Kubernetes, AWS apis, or Thrift.
