Description

We are currently seeking a talented Signal Processing Software Engineer to join our team, focusing on the development and enhancement of ultrasound medical imaging devices. In this role, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing software solutions for signal processing in ultrasound machines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of hardware engineers, software developers, and clinical experts to create state-of-the-art ultrasound imaging systems. As a key member of a small and distributed software development team you will have the opportunity to shape and expand our product capabilities. This is a full time on-site position and will require reporting to our offices located in Campbell, CA.

Responsibilities, Skills & Hands-On Experience

  • Develop, implement, and integrate signal processing algorithms for ultrasound imaging applications. This will include all processing from beamforming to display of the rendered images.

  • Design, code, test, and debug software modules in real-time environments.

  • Analyze and optimize the performance of signal processing algorithms to meet stringent imaging quality and processing speed requirements.

  • Work closely with clinical experts to understand user needs and incorporate feedback into software design.

  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in signal processing and ultrasound imaging technologies.

  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure software reliability and compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and demos.

  • Document software design, code, and test procedures to facilitate knowledge transfer and compliance with industry standards.

  • Support success of the software team with contributions to software in other functional areas and software development processes, as needed.

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Proven expertise in software development, including both basic and advanced signal processing for medical imaging.

  • Strong proficiency in C++ and CUDA. Capable in python and/or Matlab.

  • Experience with real-time signal processing and optimization techniques.

  • Strong software architecture skills and ability to work in abstract design, such as design patterns.

  • Knowledge of image processing algorithms and techniques.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience in a regulated industry, such as medical devices, is a plus.

Our salary ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications. In addition to those factors, we also examine internal equity as well as consider current market rate, and title may be assessed one level lower or higher accordingly. After you join the company your performance, contributions, and results along with business and organizational needs will affect your base salary. The base salary range for this full-time position is between $100,000 to $200,000 + equity + benefits.
