GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. (Code must be used in core version of applications available for sale commercially.)
Interacts with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
Trains and communicates with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams on systems application.
May be responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets and schedules and for documenting work and results.
May deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences.
Other related duties assigned as needed.
A Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
Create design/architecture plans and solution requirements, and deliver project capabilities.
Drive innovation and operational performance in the deployment of new functionality, services, and products.
Deliver detailed design/architecture plans and solution requirements assessment.
Address challenges of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platform integration.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in driving operating and service excellence
Improve project delivery and provide recommendations for process improvement
Drive strategy, innovation, Agile knowledge, and best practices on project engagements.
Identifies new solutions and opportunities in Worldpay's service offerings.
Attend overnight releases when needed
Demonstrates excellence in technical assessment and implementation coordination. Solution planning and resource optimization are driven by defined roadmap/goals.
Executes continuous improvement efforts and delivery commitments are met consistently.
Consistently creates successful engagements on projects and with cross-functional teams.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products. Internally recognized specialist on complex technical matters.
Champions significant projects using demonstrated leadership and creativity. Technical ownership of 1-2 development areas and contributes to other areas. Understanding of a Worldpay from FIS product area along with customer needs and market. Handles multiple tasks and can switch between them.
Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
10+ years of experience in software development methodologies and best practices.
10+ years of experience building applications using web
Methods technologies, EAI and B2B Integrations
3+ years of experience building web services in SOAP and/or REST with technologies of Software AG components : Developer/Designer ,Broker/UM , My web
Methods Server , Integration Server, JDBC Adapter, MQ Adapter, Trading Networks Deployer -- Versions 9.5, 10.1 and 10.3
5+ years of experience in developing highly scaleable and reliable web applications, including integration with internal and external systems.
3+ years in a technical lead position
Fluent in Database with experience in DB2, SQL server and Oracle
Experienced API test Tools like SOAP UI and Postman.
Understanding about Networking protocols like TCP/IP, SMTP, HTTP, FTP, SOAP .
Experience with Unix/Linux OS.
Experience in micro-services
Experience working collaboratively using Agile/Scrum methodology
Experience consuming web service end points (e.g. REST, SOAP), strong REST Webservices development, and integration tools like Jenkins, Nexus,.
Experience with Data Power configurations a plus
Ability to think "out-of-the-box" to design solutions that meet client business needs, stay within their budget and utilize available staff
Minimum Bachelor's Degree required

Advanced professional role. Requires a broad knowledge of the system development life cycle; products, services, practices, regulations and operations associated with the assigned line(s) of business; and software engineering alternatives.
Requires proficiency in at least two higher-level programming languages. Evaluates systems specifications for complex business requirements, develops and prepares computer-based solutions. Analyzes problems in terms of detailed equipment requirements and capabilities, including those related to scaleable applications, and cloud-based resources.
Verifies program logic by preparing test data for trial runs. Receives general supervision and is competent to work at the highest level of all technical phases of software engineering while working on own or in a team environment most of the time. May be involved in providing assistance and training to lower level software engineers. Typically requires seven or more years software engineering work experience.
