This is a hybrid role aligned to our Kansas City local market. Candidates must be based in or within commutable distance of the greater Kansas City area.

What You'll Bring

• 7+ years of development and/or consulting experience is required

• Display passion for delivering high quality products that meet customer's needs, the craft of software development and a drive to improve technically

• Strong problem-solving and software triage skills with the ability to work multi-functionally in a fast-moving and constantly evolving work environment

• Capable of tying technical solutions back to a business value

• Knowledge of agile methodologies

• Experienced with one or more programming languages; Java, Python, .NET or NodeJS

• Experience with HTML, CSS and Modern front-end frameworks (Angular, React, Vue.js)

• Familiarity with databases MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra and Dynamo

• Experience with DevOps processes (Continuous Integration, Automation, etc.)

• Familiarity with modern, cloud-based solutions in AWS, GCP or Azure

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with client and other Slalom team members to architect, solution and develop custom applications

• Be an active member of a growing team; help define and influence team culture & standards

• Lead development on a wide range of projects for the world's top companies

• Build technical acumen through hands-on experience with the latest technologies and delivery methodologies

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design, & deliver innovative technology solutions for a wide variety of business topics and industries

• Build relationships with both IT and business clients, to best align business needs with technical capability/ feasibility

• Conduct and participate in client white-boarding sessions, workshops, design sessions, and project meetings as needed, playing a key role in client relations

• Mentor and collaborate with less experienced developers on projects
