Raytheon Pasadena is looking for a Software Engineer to work on exciting projects with our JPL/NASA customer. The successful candidate will be part of a larger team of developers working with program/project team members at various levels and will be an integral part of the team's success.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifying potential issues and problems before they arise, determining the root cause and developing solutions

  • Developing scripts to automate tasks when possible

  • Build test automation solutions for functional, regression, interface and performance testing

  • Responsible for all stages of the software product life cycle planning, creating, testing, deploying and supporting

  • Coordinate requirements with stakeholders

Education / Work Experience:

Bachelor of Science in STEM or a related field, or related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of related experience.

Required Skills:

  • Strong background with C/C++, Java, Python and Perl

  • Experience with Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, multiprocessing and threads

  • Experience working on Linux systems

  • Experience with Algorithm development

  • Experience with Object-Oriented programming

  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Build systems

  • Experience with DevOps

  • Experience with Science Data Analysis

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to work well in a team environment

Desirable Skills:

  • JavaScript and web development

  • Strong background and interest in mathematics

  • Experience and interest in Kalman Filer and/or control systems

  • Enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies

Work Location:

The work will be done in Pasadena CA

This position requires a U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
