Software Engineer (.NET). with Mobile Experience
We are currently recruiting a Software Engineer (.NET) to join the development team at our Boston, MA location. You will be part of a team enhancing and supporting our software for one of Escher's largest clients. Using the Agile Scrum methodology, you will be working in sprints to implement new features and address defects found in QA or the field. The position requires experience working with mobile devices and systems such as iOS or Android (iOS preferred); Not just writing mobile apps (iOS/Android), but experience building software applications that integrate with mobile devices.
Duties and Responsibilities
Utilize best practices and design patterns to write clean, efficient and elegant code
Development of new features or enhancements as part of Escher's Riposte software
Troubleshooting, debugging and resolving technical issues reported by QA or client
Writing Unit Tests
Participating in code reviews
Other ad hoc duties as assigned
A BS degree or higher in Computer Science or related discipline
Minimum 3 years' experience working in a similar role
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft .NET framework and specifically C#
Experience building applications that run on and integrate with mobile devices and systems (not just writing mobile applications)
Knowledge of Xamarin or WPF
Experience of full project lifecycle
Data driven UI architecture (desirable)
Experience in POS (Point-of sale) development with peripheral integration (desirable)
Good problem-solving skills.
Willingness to keep up with the latest technology trends
Ability to work as part of a team.
