  • Possess a Bachelor's degree and 0 years of experience or 4years of experience
  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
  • Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
  • Debug existing software and correct defects
  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
  • Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
  • Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development processstandards
  • Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functionalstandards
  • Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components
  • Write or review software and system documentation
  • Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users orsystem engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problemareas

Expertise with hands-on experience in scalable data platforms, infrastructure development and systems administration for Software and platforms related to Application development, Data Engineering and Data Science projects in an agile work environment. They must have strong, firsthand technical expertise in a variety of CI/CD technologies, the proven ability in Big data technologies to operate robust scalable solutions handling large data sets.<br></p><p><em><strong>**This job may be eligible for a sign-on bonus for external hires!**</strong></em><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul> <li>Develop, integrate and configure cloud platforms (AWS)</li> <li>DevOps / CICD functions for integrating multiple commercial and open source software components (e.g. Spark, Airflow, EMR, others), and custom-built code on AWS cloud (using PySpark, Lambda)</li> <li>Analyze, design, and develop tests and test-automation suites</li> <li>Knowledge and experience of having worked with Monitoring tools, such as SPLUNK, ELK stack</li> <li>Design and develop a processing platform using various configuration management technologies</li> <li>Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms</li> <li>Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, business users, project managers and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions</li> <li>Provide recommendations for continuous improvement</li> <li>Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li> <strong>Required Skills and Experience</strong><ul> <li>Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in Application development, with 3 years of the total experience in DevOps</li> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent</li> <li>Proven, Hands-on experience with AWS Infrastructure development </li> <li>2+ years of Jenkins experience (ideally with some Cloudbees Jenkins)</li> <li>Infrastructure automation technologies: Require working Terraform experience</li> <li>Modern programming languages: Java or Python Stack </li> <li>Building APIs and services using REST, SOAP, etc.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Hands-on experience working with technologies like Spark or Hadoop (one of the two are required), </li> <li>Build automation technologies: Maven or Gradle, </li> <li>Scripting languages: Terraform (required), Perl or Shell (Groovy Desirable)</li> <li>Strong DevOps focus and experience building and deploying infrastructure with cloud deployment technologies like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet, etc. </li> <li>Experience of working with one end-to-end DevOps stack is needed.
