The successful candidate will be a competent Java/J2EE Developer and ideally will have worked in all phases of the project life-cycle.
We are looking for a positive, flexible and hands-on engineer who is passionate about using emerging technologies and writing quality code. You will be part of a high caliber team consisting of tech, product, and DevOps working in short iterations, building production-ready software.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Designs, develops, and implements web-based Java Rest APIs and applications to support business requirements.
Work with UX design to design, create and implement UI components that are engaging and easy to use.
Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing.
Develop unit and integration tests to test your code and integrating with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines
Generate swagger and other API documentation
Work with both existing server side rendered pages (JSP) as well as develop responsive Angular based elements and applications for multiple form factors
Quick learner, one who can thrive in a fast-paced environment
Collaborate with Architecture and other team members on the design of projects.
Follow API and web development standards across the technology organization
Work in a fast paced, agile environment, collaborating with peers from around the world.
Evangelize good software engineering, always be learning.

Job Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Effective time management skills.
The ability to work in a team atmosphere.
Required Education and/or Experience
Three (3) or more years experience with analyzing, designing, coding, building, testing, and deploying application systems in a business environment.
Experience developing within an Agile environment
Commercial RESTful API design and implementation experience
Experience working in AWS and/or utilizing AWS services.
Experience working with partners and 3rd parties in integrating with their APIs
Experience with Git and GitHub
Requires experience with the following technologies:
Languages: JavaScript, Java, SQL

Skills: Angular, CSS, Core Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, RESTful Web Services, Angular
Postgres, MongoDB
O/S: Linux
Experience with Tomcat and Java Web apps preferred.
Team player who exhibits effective interpersonal skills with a collaborative style
Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools:
Jenkins, Code Pipeline/Deploy, Cloud Formation, Terraform or others
Experience with Google Analytics and SEO concepts and validation a plus
Must have a grasp of web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JS, responsive design, etc.)
Experience with AWS environment utilizing API Gateway, Lambda Functions, SQS, SNS, Redshift, Firehose, S3, DynamoDB, EC2 and more is helpful.

Job Summary: This position will be responsible for integrating platform and software to service builds and modifications to test environments that include, Spectrum TV, Voice, and other Charter services platforms. This will include integration using API interfaces into platform software. Automated test and test tool development is required to support deployment automation of required system builds using Chef, Puppet, Kubernetes, UCS Director, Teraforms and internally developed tools such as OTTR and Spectrum Test Hub (STH). The position will support multiple projects/systems of medium to high complexity, and provide lab environment support across organizations. The Platform QA & Integration (PQI) team is responsible for Lab Project Intake, Design Implementation, Integration, Certification and Testing of Video, Data Center, Voice, DOCSIS based platforms. From a Platform perspective, the team also deploys physical infrastructure that include Compute, Storage, Network. In addition, PQI builds and virtual platforms for virtual machines and containers based on VMware, OpenStack, Kubernetes and a myriad of other virtual platforms to support the current and future Charter delivery platforms. The team's role requires a highly skilled staff of systems integration engineers capable of developing software automation tools to deploy and configure complex systems, integrate and manage those systems, as well as develop software to run automated load, performance, functional and regression testing in order to certify and launch new solutions into production. This position is needed to build and enhance automation tools for solution deployment, testing and ongoing support and maintenance. Required Qualifications: Experience in platform and data center technologies including Cisco UCS, NetApp Storage, VMware, Kubernetes and OpenStack. Python and or Java coding with integration into VMware, Cisco UCS, NetApp and other platform APIs. Demonstrated ability to meet delivery dates for small, medium, and large-scale development projects. Strong ability to analyze and interpret data. Proven technical writer. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Software Development, Systems Administration, Network Administration, Engineering and or related field. Related Work Experience (Number of Years): A combination skill set of Platforms, Compute, Storage Network and Application administration is preferred.
