JOB SUMMARY

The Mobile Software Engineer will have responsibility for the development of applications supporting ClearOne's Cloud-based Video products. The software will run on the iOS platform supporting ClearOne's video conferencing products line. The software will be used to support clear

One's cloud-based video conferencing platform from the iOS device.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • BSCS/BSCE or equivalent with 5+ years experience in a commercial software development environment

  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented design methodologies as applied in the development of mobile applications for iOS is required.

  • Experience delivering mobile applications across the entire app life cycle, including designing, building, deployment, testing, release to app stores, and support

  • Strong object-oriented design and programming skills in Objective-C

  • Experience developing Graphical User Interface using Cocoa, Objective-C and Swift

  • Experience with the iOS SDK

  • Experience with the Xcode IDE

  • Good working knowledge of OpenGL and Metal.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • Strong debugging skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work either independently or in a team is required.

JOB DUTIES

  • Maintain and develop iOS application for ClearOne's cloud-based video conferencing platform

  • Build, test and deploy released to the app store and support.

Supports software engineers and software design engineers as well as other technical staff with programming and analysis related activities. Follows industry recommendations and department programming standards to ensure code efficiency and reliability. Attends team meetings and communicates (verbally and in writing) programming issues to appropriate staff and customers. Presents finding, recommendations, and specifications both verbally and in writing. Tunes and modifies code to ensure efficiency. Writes system interface programs. Troubleshoots and repairs existing code. Investigates system "bugs" and provides input on code fixes and alternative solutions. Tests applications and follows department version control and code promotion guidelines. Performs analysis on program output and error logs. Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalency and 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Preferences Experience in the PeopleSoft development environment. Broad knowledge of the overall development process and skills in multiple programming and scripting languages, including PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Package, SQL , SQR , C or C++.
