We therefore dedicate ourselves to optimise our internal data framework in order to produce well-refined analyses of Zendesk products' usage which enable us to optimise our Customers' experience.
The Zendesk Chat Growth team is looking for a driven individual to:
contribute in improving Zendesk Chat data processing pipeline
contribute in producing refined analysis of our Customer's usage of our product
contribute in improving our A/B testing capabilities to accelerate our experimentation cycles
design, plan and implement A/B tests within Zendesk Products, analyse the results and iterate.
You will have the opportunity to design and develop components using data-processing services such as Apache Kafka / S3 Data Lake / Amazon Kinesis Analytics.You will also have the opportunity to be exposed to a wide range of our stack
Scope of Work
Familiarize with Zendesk products and internal Data Reporting architecture
Contribute to system designs, proof-of-concepts and development of data pipelines using AWS capabilities and Data Lake as the foundation
Contribute to build A/B test experiments at multi-product level, this includes collaboration across offices
Contribute to Data analysis of our Customers' usage of the product. This also means liaise with our Creative teams to design experiments to improve Zendesk products
Familiarize with Zendesk implementation of Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect and AWS services such as Kinesis Analytics and S3 Data Lake
Familiarize with modern software development processes:
Familiarise yourself with the technology stack used in Zendesk Chat back-end platform.
Learn about Agile Software Development (we use Scrum at Zendesk Chat) and how to work in fast iterations.
Learn how to manage code at a massive scale with Git, and how engineers at Zendesk Chat do code reviews.
Participate and contribute in sprint planning, retrospectives and daily stand ups.
Ensure that your code is written with accompanying unit tests.
In addition, work closely with Test Engineering team to automate tests.
As and when required, you may need to work on replicating bugs that are reported and fix them.
Provide documentation on the entire implementation
Experience in one or more of the following technologies is preferred but not required
Python, JavaAWS services (S3, Kinesis Analytics, Spark EML)
Apache Kafka and Kafka Connect
Data analysis tools such as Tableau, Google BigQuery and Excel
