This role is ideal for candidates who are interested in broad exposure to a function/department within our organization. The hiring manager is looking for an upcoming undergraduate/student working that may be interested in longer term career opportunities with Radian after graduation. The specific responsibilities of the internship will be based on candidate's background, as well as with work and projects currently within the department.

This is a Summer 2024 Internship - MUST be available Tuesday, May 28 - Friday, August 2, 2024 (10 weeks). Possible opportunity to start before May 28 in a part-time capacity. Also open to any US timezone.

Contributes to our overall test automation frameworks. The intern will work closely with Senior software engineer to build automation on BizTalk functionality. This role will need to work on testing web service , a good understanding on API will be a great plus.

See the Primary Duties and Responsibilities

General knowledge of all areas listed below is critical. While expertise in each area is not required for the role, an understanding of how the following technologies work together is important.

• Building tests / testing software with tools that include Java, Python, Perl, Java Script and Shell Scripting - ability to write testing code

• Java/Studio, C#, .NET, SQL Server and VB scripting

• CI tools (Jenkins, Bamboo)

• GUI automated tools such as Coded UI, Selenium, UFT

• Performance profiling and monitoring tools

• Source control systems, Git, BitBucket, or similar

• Selenium

• Soap UI / POSTMAN

• SQL

• Frameworks or products for automated bulk comparison of source and target for data loads to verify data completeness and correctness preferred

• Testing to verify schemas and data objects after deployments and data in dashboards & report

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Management or related area is required.

Prior Work Experience: Less than 6 months

• Possess excellent interpersonal skills

• Experience communicating quality issues to leadership team with recommendations on improvements.

• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to deal with complexity comfortably and work quickly without sacrificing quality

Program Requirements

Interns will be required to participate in specific workshops and events in addition to their intern duties assigned by their people leader. This includes a NEW, 2-day in-person event at the Wayne, PA office.
