Working as a member of the Software Center of Excellence team, come astonish our Bose Automotive Division with your outstanding ability to manage software projects and deliver software for a superlative audio experience in a car. Role: As Software Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for all aspects of software testing for the embedded software development team within the Automotive Systems Division. You will work cross-functionally to develop automated testing at white-box and black box levels to deliver top quality software that delights our customers.

Required skills / experience: 4 years of software test/development experience Demonstrated ability to: Prepare and create test plans, test cases for software based on functional documentation and application Execute test cases, find and document issues Develop test data, perform test data analysis, and prepare reports of test results Provide process improvement recommendations Experience in Python and/or PERL programming Experience in embedded development and/or unit testing embedded products Good written and verbal communication skills BS in Computer Science or equivalent Preferred skills / experience: Experience in signal processing development or test Experience with Object Oriented Programming Experience with MatLab, Simulink Experience with CMMI methodology Experience in the automotive industry Good organizational skills (time management and planning) and attention to details Bose is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.

Be a leading member of the “SW Engineering Process Group” imbedded in the project teams. The role is responsible for: Defining and improving SW / Systems engineering processes in accordance CMMI and ASPICE standards Assisting in the definition and utilization of Quality Metrics Assisting in the identification of process related Continual Improvement Opportunities Facilitating and/or coaching continual improvement initiatives and process expertise within the development organization Supporting the resolution of process and quality non-compliance within the development organization Monitor customer expectations to assure effective change management is utilized when implementing new and/or revised software into production at Bose manufacturing and contract manufacturers, or other as required. Assisting Process and Product Quality team in the definition of internal audit checklists and auditing processes Requirements: Strong knowledge/experience and proven ability in software development process best practices and process definition, including: CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) ASPICE (Automotive Software Process Improvement & Capability Determination) Familiarity with internal assessments of customer specifications and requirements Knowledgeable of the internal and external software deliveries approval process Have the professional qualifications which are necessary to confirm the professional execution of reviews and participate in external assessments of product / project teams Some travel expected Preferred: Excellent customer facing skills Knowledge with developing real-time embedded software digital signal processing fundamentals and algorithms Ability to work effectively with other team members including embedded application development, system and quality engineers Excellent oral and written communications skills, including ability to produce clear and concise technical software documentation Solid understanding of industry best practice software development processes with 6 – 10 years’ experience Tools: Industry or vendor certifications in operating systems, hardware and computer programming languages.
