Our Quality Engineers work side by side with other members of their Agile Scrum teams to ensure we're delivering the highest quality capabilities and value to our customers. We thrive on ensuring we continue to serve our existing user base while working on new solutions to take to market to grow the business. On a given day you could be participating in a sprint planning or review session collaborating with colleagues on the other side of the world, engaging directly with a Vault customer, advancing our automated CI/CD test pipeline, or driving the validation strategy for connecting Vault with our extended cloud technology stack.

Responsibilities

  • Own & drive initiatives related to improving quality, stability, reliability and usability of Vault's desktop, cloud connected, & mobile offerings, accomplish this by leveraging your quality assurance mindset combined with your technical chops for test automation, tools, and procedures

  • Create and execute tests, test plans and analyzing test results with the objective of finding defects during the software development process

  • Enforce best practices and drive quality early in the development cycle

  • Assist in evaluating and use testing tools and test frameworks

  • Collaborate in Agile environment and will frequently connect with colleagues from other teams dispersed globally

  • Help the team evaluate risk, quality, and/or stability of products and services

  • Clearly document, manage, and prioritize defects as well as collaborate with Product Support and customers to resolve customer issues

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of software test engineering and automation experience

  • A BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge and experience designing tests, defining test scope and identifying functional and non-functional testing (e.g. performance, availability, stability, security, environment, etc.)

  • Experience with testing tools and build/release automation

  • Passion and drive for automation and sound engineering practice

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience with SQL or other databases, PDM/PLM/CAD solutions

  • Scrum and agile process experience

  • GIT or equivalent version control experience

  • Experience or familiarity with automation frameworks such as GTest, Jenkins, Selenium, TDD, BDD

  • Prior experience and involvement with software DevOps
