Software Engineers are needed on multiple mission-critical classified programs. Experience all aspects of a software development life-cycle as a member of a fast-paced agile team. This includes software design, implementation, and test under the direction of a more senior-level engineer, supporting customer demonstrations, and developing and executing automated software tests. Some engineers also have the opportunity to participate in installation activities both in the United States and abroad. This is some of the most important classified development and deployment work being done today

Responsibilities may include:

Work as a software developer and integrator as part of a development team which utilizes a diverse dynamic team, including many experts in their fields.

Specific duties include:

  • Develop, integrate, and test software to ensure proper operation of software systems

  • Integrate a wide variety of applications from various sources and ensure they meet performance standards for stability and resource utilization

  • Develop automated test and automated deployment software

  • Full lifecycle DevOps support to include key principles like Infrastructure as Code

  • Support of Linux/Unix system administration activities and installation/configuration of commercial products

  • Database engineering and database administration tasks support

Clearance Requirements:

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Work Location:

State College, PA

Required Experience:

  • Experience developing, integrating, and testing software to ensure proper operation of software systems

  • Knowledge in Java on a Linux platform

  • Experience using Software Design Patterns

  • Experience using source control tools such as Git

  • Experience using cloud technologies such as AWS

  • Experience in scripting languages such as Bash, Perl and Python

  • Experience using agile software methodologies such as Scrum

Desired Experience:

  • Proficiency developing microservices

  • Experience with multi-threaded applications

  • Knowledge working to design software modules using an object-oriented approach

  • Experience in DevOps technologies such as Puppet, Chef, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/Ansible, Cucumber, Gherkin, Jenkins, and Maven

  • Experience with Atlassian Software Development and Collaboration tools (JIRA, BitBucket, Confluence, Crucible, etc)

  • Experience in system administration of Linux/Unix systems

  • Proficiency using variations of the Spring Framework

  • Experience with Test Driven Development

  • Experience with cybersecurity tools

  • Experience developing in a DevSecOps environment

  • Certification in Security+

  • Java certification

  • Completed Polygraph

  • C/C++ development experience

  • An active and in-scope Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. security clearance

  • Understanding of NoSQL databases like MongoDB

Required Education:

2 years of relevant experience with a BS degree (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, preferred); or 0 years of relevant experience with a MS degree (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, preferred)

As a Department Manager in our Tech Shop you will spend the majority of your time on the sales floor supporting all technology needs, supervising Tech Booksellers, and modeling Wow customer service. You will provide direct oversight to the Tech Shop department, and ensure that our booksellers are current on all product trends and technology that our customers want. You will engage with customers to explain, advise, and assist them with making appropriate technology purchases. A Department Manager must also be knowledgeable about general store operations; enforce loss prevention procedures; and ensure that areas of the store are maintained and well merchandised. Expectations: * Provide on-site support for in-shop repair on a wide variety of computers and peripherals using advanced computer and electronic repair techniques and test equipment. * Ensure that quality service is provided in a timely manner; resources are effectively utilized; and that warranty services are conducted for full reimbursement from manufacturers. * Build relationships with third party vendors for technical information and repair solutions, while following established procedures to obtain parts; return defective/replaced parts; prepare accurate quotes, invoices, and billing. * Remain knowledgeable of new and emerging technologies, diagnostic, and test procedures. * Maintain a presence on the sales floor to greet customers, answer questions, communicate technical requirements/information to non-technical buyers, and assist with purchases when necessary. * Assign work and provide focused direction to booksellers to manage and accomplish multiple projects to ensure the proper execution of the workload. * Maintain an appealing sales floor-tag, shelf, arrange, clean, and organize product or space within the store according to specific criteria. * Provide periodic assistance with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments. * Full-time positions require availability to work at least 30 hours on a weekly basis year round. Schedules may be set or vary to meet the needs of the store. Physical Demands: * Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas, and/or products. * Frequent lifting and moving of personal computer hardware. * Frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. * Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods. Qualifications: * Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age to be considered for employment. * Experience in a retail setting, marketing, and/or IT preferred. * 2-year experience as a computer repair technician; an equivalent combination of education, certification and experience will be considered. * A+ and/or Apple certified or able to achieve certification within 60 days required. * Experienced with Windows 7, 8, & 10 & Apple O/S & IMac. * Must have hardware diagnostics and repair experience. * Basic programming and web page development maintenance a plus. * Experienced with parts ordering and inventory control. * Knowledgeable of and able to use POS sales, billing, and inventory systems. * High energy, self-starter who is adept at work on independent and on team tasks. * Friendly personality, with strong written and verbal communication skills. * Outstanding customer service skills to work with vendors, customers, and team members. * Above average math and computer skills. * Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
