Responsible for meeting customer needs through application development, deployment and life-cycle management, specializing in Windstream's quoting and product catalog applications. Includes development initiatives, implementation, configuration and deployment of custom applications and modified off-the-shelf applications, as well as developing integrations between Windstream's systems. This position will interact with other organizations both within IT and the business, to provide proactive solutions to the business and drive business value.

  • Strong technical knowledge of a wide range of development languages, frameworks, and methodologies, such as:

  • Java,

  • Web development technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, NodeJS, and AngularJS

  • SOAP/REST web services,

  • Spring,

  • Unit and integration testing with tools such as JUnit, TestNG, Mocha

  • Distributed version control systems such as Mercurial or GIT

  • Familiarity with a Linux shell environment and accessing Linux systems remotely via SSH to run applications.

  • Ability to diagnose problems occurring within a system or resulting through integration between systems.

  • Experience with development, deployment, and management of microservice/cloud-based architectures such as Spring Boot and Docker is a plus.

  • Business domain expertise in telecom industry and/or BPM would be a plus.

  • Working knowledge of the Agile development methodologies, such as SCRUM or Kanban.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Development and implementation of quoting and catalog software initiatives.

  • Production support of quoting and catalog software, including some off-hours support on a rotating schedule.

  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of databases and associated development.

  • Identifying issues within software systems and recommending solutions to others.

  • Implement and participate within code review process.

  • Work and manage multiple development initiatives concurrently.

  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and users for support and to work in support of requirements and design development.

Minimum Qualifications:

College degree in a Technical or a related field and 2-4 years professional level experience; or 6 years professional level related Technical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Technical experience required.

Individuals applying for this position must be self-directed, while also team oriented and able to work collaboratively with others.</li> </ul> <p>Duties: Duties include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>The primary responsibilities of the position include precision alignment and assembly of optical components (lenses and mirrors) using mechanical and optical alignment processes</li> <li> Handle, inspect, clean, and prepare delicate and sensitive optical components and assemblies</li> <li> Read work orders, engineering drawings, and work instructions for sub-assembly and final product assembly</li> <li>Perform detailed record keeping duties for production, engineering, and quality control reporting</li> <li>Interface with plant systems (e.g. document control system, manufacturing execution system, optical testing software, ERP/MRP systems, etc.)</li> <li>Maintain clean room integrity by using proper attire and adherence to clean room environment practices and procedures</li> <li> Perform coarse and fine adjustments requiring the use of hand tools, precision measuring devices and other specialized equipment including, but not limited to vacuum equipment, digital indicators, torque wrenches, optical microscopes, height gages, Vernier gages, micrometers, and electronic testing fixtures.</li> <li> Actively engage with continuous improvement and cost reduction programs</li> </ul> <strong>Qualifications:</strong> <p>Required Skills and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Experience with assembling opto-mechanical assemblies</li> <li>Experience in manufacturing or technical environment</li> <li> Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and assembly instructions for medium to complex assemblies</li> <li>Experience with handling, inspecting, and cleaning sensitive small-scale optical parts and materials (mirrors and lenses).</li> <li>Working knowledge and familiarity with centration and alignment concepts, and the tools used to adhere to and measure these parameters</li> <li>Strong mechanical aptitude and good Eye/Hand coordination and fine motor skills to perform repetitive assembly tasks with precision, accuracy and dexterity</li> <li> Requires specific vision abilities that include close vision and ability to adjust focus</li> <li>Strong work ethic and good attitude toward work that includes consistently arriving on time for start of shift</li> <li>Ability to utilize interpersonal and communication techniques, work in a team environment, and deal with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles</li> <li> Proficient Computer and Math Skills</li> <li> Good written and verbal communication skills</li> <li> Prior experience in a clean room environment preferred</li> <li> Knowledge of 5S and lean concepts beneficial</li> <li> Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal</li> </ul> <p> Other related experience that may be applicable</p> <ul> <li>Hands-on experience in microelectronic or medical device assembly.</li> <li> Experience as a jewelry maker or similar fine detail work</li> <li>Experience with assembling close tolerance parts that may have unusual shapes or parameters</li> </ul> <p>Working Conditions: </p> <ul> <li>Work environment is temperature controlled clean room.
