We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join our team within Planning Solutions on the Comprehensive Asset Allocation (CAA) team.
Our department, Planning Solutions is responsible for the proprietary financial planning platform that lets our advisors deliver multifaceted, dynamic and comprehensive plans that uniquely showcase our conviction for financial planning with insurance and investment solutions.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Applies engineering standard methodologies to analyze and develop software solutions.
Develops software using established development and continuous integration practices.
Designs, coordinates, and drives high impact solutions across teams both within and outside their division.
Establishes, aggregates, and shares enterprise standards and best practices.
Conducts code evaluations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
2-4 years professional experience required.
2-4 years of experience working with modern engineering tools, languages and practices (e.g. React, TypeScript, Node, Java/Kotlin, Springboot, REST and GraphQL.
Database Experience in MongoDB, Postgres, Kafka
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Familiarity using continuous integration and deployment concepts.
Strong technical skills.
Understanding of your business domain.
Able to mentor new team members.
Can communicate clearly to the business.
Desired Past Experience:
Full stack (frontend/backend) software development projects within an enterprise
Integration with various internal & external APIs that have a deep business domain.
Past experience at a financial services company, insurance company or bank with a knowledge of financial products and/or banking systems.
Demonstrating capability and proficiency in the below skills:
