A Day in the Life

In this role, you will join a world class team of mechanical, electrical and software engineers within the

Medtronic's Surgical Operations Unit. This is one new, powerful operating unit bringing together the people and product portfolio of Surgical Robotics and Surgical Innovations. With the Medtronic Mission as our North Star, we will build on our legacy of proven surgical solutions and advance the promise of robotics and digital solutions for the benefit of the customers and patients we serve.

A Day in The Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Evaluates software change requests to released medical devices and supporting tools

• Assists in the design, implementation, and test of software changes for released products while staying true to the original design integrity

• Works with cross functional team to communicate changes, and understand impacts to their function

• Creates documentation throughout the development process

• Commits to achieving and exceeding project goals and timelines

• Performs duties in compliance with the Quality System

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• OR Advanced Degree and 0 years of experience

Nice to Have

• 2+ years experience with C++/C

• Knowledge of OOA&D concepts

• Embedded programming experience

• Working knowledge of software development best practices.

• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices

• Experience with Yocto Linux

• Windows, and cloud platform experience

• Medical device experience

• Experience in Linux driver development

• Experience with Git, Bash, gnu tools

• Experience with embedded graphics technologies

• Html, css, react, and javascript experience

• Bare metal programming

• RFID Experience

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$95,200.00 - $142,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
