Citizens Bank is seeking experienced and energetic software developers to join our Consumer Automation team and be part of our digital transformation journey. As a software engineer, you will work with a group of talented engineers as you pursue a broad range of initiatives. By leveraging your technical skills and thirst for innovation, you will produce disruptive technologies that will ensure Citizens market leadership.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Designs automated solutions in accordance with enterprise leading practices and design principles

  • Assists in the collection and documentation of solution design requirements

  • Builds and test automation processes including integration and unit testing

  • Analyzes and resolves automation software issues where required

  • Participates in peer review of solution designs

  • Supports business process owners during user acceptance testing

  • Identifies and communicates risks associated with process automation candidates

  • Supports skills transfer by mentoring newly trained resources on best practices and development techniques

  • Supports investigation and remediation of production level issues

  • Supports production deployments processes and performance testing

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in software development

  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a team environment, strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Understanding of multiple programming languages, including at least one front end framework (Angular/React/Vue), such as Python3, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Golang, C, C++, etc.

  • 6 months+ hands on experience programming automation software

  • Knowledge of business process modelling and reengineering

  • Understanding of workflow based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution

  • Possesses good communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience

  • Awareness of standard SDLC processes (e.g., agile, waterfall, etc.) and change control disciplines

  • Awareness of API's and how to work with them

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Understanding of the banking industry, specifically the functions of custodial and consumer banking

  • Experience with collecting requirements, creating software designs and developing efficient implementations

  • Familiarity with full-stack development

  • Understand data structure concepts such as linked lists, dictionaries, arrays, custom object creation, etc.

  • Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline

  • Experience with more than one process automation software including Blue Prism, Jira, Automation Anywhere, NICE, UiPath, OpenSpan

  • Experience in an Agile environment

By leveraging your technical skills and thirst for innovation, you will help ensure Citizens' market leadership. As a Transmissions Subject Matter Expert for a core critical service, you will design, develop and implement solutions which address business needs; ensure system responsiveness, reliability and resiliency; maintain system compliance with policies, regulations and best practices; assist in troubleshooting, research and root cause analysis for system issues; help shape the service roadmap; participate in fostering innovation within the team; and perform data analysis to understand system health, performance and to provide information for initiatives. Primary responsibilities include: * Designing, modifying, developing and implementing technology solutions; building modern, architecturally sound components, tools and applications to meet mission-driven strategic business goals * Participating in an environment rapidly transforming to the agile methodology, adhering to best practices and collaborating effectively with your teammates * Infusing Quality of Service characteristics, such as scalability, resiliency, manageability and maintainability, into distributed service-based framework to create or expand business or technical capabilities * Documenting development iterations;
