Overview:

Seeking an individual with a strong technical foundation who can work hands-on with the broader engineering team as part of the development/deployment cycle. The candidate should have a deep understanding of industry best practices and be able to implement them while working with both the platform and product teams.

Scope:

• Develop features across multiple sub-modules within our applications, including collaboration in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing, debugging, effort estimation, and continuous quality improvement of the design, code, and deployment.

• Design, develop, and manage automated unit and acceptance tests.

Software: C++, Java, Springboot, Gradle, GIT, Hibernate, Rest API, OAuth

Application Architecture: Scalable, resilient, event-driven, secure multi-tenant microservices architecture

Cloud Architecture: MS Azure (ARM templates, AKS, HD insight, Application gateway, Virtue Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD)

DevOps: CI/CD, Jenkins

OS: Windows, Linux

Frameworks/Others: Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, NoSQL, RDBMS, Springboot, Gradle, GIT, Ignite

What You'll Do:

• Design, code, debug, and perform development activities in accordance with designated standards and procedures.

• Drive architecture and designs to become simpler, more robust, and more efficient. Deliver on these promises through self-healing, reliable services that require minimal manual intervention.

• Provide early visibility and mitigation to technical challenges throughout the journey.

• Provide support for products from conception to delivery, including problem-solving, defect maintenance, and support for customer services.

What We Are Looking For:

• 3 to 4 years of experience in designing and developing software applications.

• Experience with Java, MVC Architecture, J2EE, Struts, and web development.

• Knowledge of design patterns.

• Unix knowledge is desirable.

• Strong understanding of database concepts.

• Demonstrates a good understanding of the product and its architecture.

• Quick learner.

• Experience in developing multi-threaded applications.

• Experience with REST, JSON, and web services.

• Scrum or Kanban experience. GIT and Jenkins experience.

• Experience developing software in Linux/Unix development environments.

• Sound software engineering practices and a passion for quality.

• Proven record of meeting tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, targeted at a wide variety of internal and external audiences.

• Good understanding of customer deployment scenarios and experience in dealing with peer teams outside engineering.

• Independence, drive, motivation, willingness to go above and beyond, flexibility, and a cooperative spirit are expected and assumed.

The salary range for this position is $85,469 - $123,765

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
