Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products. Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Full use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Provides resolution to an assortment of problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Ability to develop new features as well as patches to maintain the marketed releases. Builds productive internal/external working relationships. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments; work is reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy. Contributes to the fulfillment of projects and organizational objectives. University degree and 1-3 years of related experience; or equivalent work experience. An exceptional fresh university graduate with no experience may also be considered.

Essential Functions

  • Solves difficult customer issues requiring reproduction, root cause analysis, and coding.

  • Codes, reviews and maintains software modules of significant size and complexity working from written requirements and specifications.

  • Designs, documents and creates unit tests for production code.

  • Assists management with the scheduling process by accurately estimating task duration.

  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned

  • Constantly looks for ways to improve the existing products to make them more reliable, and easier to use for customers.


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent experience.

  • 1-3 years software development experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in C/C++, Java, Javascript on Windows and Linux.

  • Solid understanding on TCP/IP, SMTP, HTML and XML.

  • Familiar with SQL query and DB performance tuning on Microsoft SQL server.

  • Experience working with large enterprise customers.

  • Prior experience working in a commercial development environment: Formal QA, best practices for development, Agile, schedules, processes, defect queues, code management, build environments and documentation.

Soft Skill

  • Highly motivated by software development technologies and a passion to learn.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, used to directly interact with customers.

  • Problem solving, task prioritization, administration and organization skills are required, whilst working to deadlines and adhering to quality assurance procedures.

  • Works well in a team environment.
