Software Engineer I

Job Description BAE Systems is looking for an entry level position to support maintenance and development of Java EE applications. Candidate must be able to support the full software development life cycle including all software documentation such as the software development plan, schedule, software requirements specification, software design documents, test documentation, and more.

The candidate must have excellent communication skills. The candidate must be able to present status to non-software developer audiences and interact with the customer to collect and analyze system requirements, translating them into a workable design and functional system. A working knowledge of configuration management and quality assurance principles is important.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills Minimum education and years of related/relevant work experience required: College degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline.

Additional skill/experience required:

• Experience with Java

• Experience with Netbeans or development environment

• Experience with GUI development such as JavaFX

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain ideas to both management and technical audiences

• Excellent analytical/problem solving, organizational, and time management skills

• Strong math background including calculus and statistics

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience with Subversion or other source code repository
• JUnit or other automated test suites

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $59950 - $101970

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
