Provides technical contribution within the software engineering discipline and contributes as a member of a multidisciplinary team of engineers in the Research and Development division. Leads development of graphical user interface (GUI) software. Collaborates with other team members on the overall design of the final product, under the guidance of the project leader.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Other duties may be assigned:
Develops software requirements based upon interaction with project team and systems engineering
Designs and implements GUI for modules on a medical device
Identifies technical problems and provides innovative and creative solutions
Works with a cross-functional team to ensure software is meeting the needs of the software and system requirements.
Completes activities with robust performance through a plan or program
Applies technical competencies in somewhat difficult situations
Shares technical knowledge with others in the team
Generates alternatives and takes reasonable risks while solving technical problems
Generates detailed, high quality technical documentation to capture and communicate designs

This role does not have supervisory responsibility
BS Degree - preferably in a technical, software/electrical oriented discipline (software engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, etc.)
0-4 years of engineering experience, or comparable experience
Proficiency in the C language
Experience with Touch GFX preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficient problem solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Engineering software.
Experience in the medical device industry is a plus
