What you'll do

Docusign is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Identity & Directory team. This position is in Docusign's Directory team, which is responsible for high-volume, low-latency user and group management stores and services. Your goal would be to help build highly scalable and highly performant secure services in an environment with 5 9's availability and bank grade security.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager Engineering.

Responsibility

• Be open minded, forward thinking and passionate about great software

• Think about how to solve problems in scale and build fault tolerant systems

• Develop testable, high-quality, and ship-ready code with ample test coverage

• Work with Product Management and other developers to understand and translate marketing requirements into design requirements and provide estimates for development

• Be involved with the design, not just code to a spec

• Work as part of a cross-site development team to drive design, implementation, testing and release of products

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineer or equivalent

• 5+ years of experience with IAM (Identity & Access Management) tools and platforms like Okta, Microsoft Azure AD, SailPoint, Azure Identity Center, or similar

• Experience in a client-facing role, with a focus on security and IAM solutions

• 5+ years experience in C#, Java, C++, or other object-oriented programming language

Preferred

• Ability to plan, initiate, and manage IAM-related technical projects

• Deep understanding of IAM principles, technologies, and protocols such as OAuth, OpenID and OpenID Connect, LDAP, Kerbero

• Experienced building or consuming RESTful web-services

• Directly involved in the design and operation of large-scale cloud services

• Experience with Cloud Computing (public, private, and hybrid) best practices as they relate to IAM security

• Experiences with the entire software development lifecycle, including version control (git), build process, testing, and code release

• Agile and Test-driven development methodologies

• Ability and desire to move across technology stacks fluently and easily

• A passion to learn new software technologies

Wage Transparency

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $134,900.00 - $216,975.00 base salary

Illinois and Colorado: $129,000.00 - $182,250.00 base salary

Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $129,000.00 - $190,550.00 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
