A Software Engineer is responsible for building Front-End and Back-End applications for all of our web properties in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, AJAX, JQuery, Demandware (ISML, Pipelines, Controllers), Bootstrap, GIT. This individual is responsible for building a world-class solution using modern and best coding practices based off of architectural and design documents. Although this is more a development role than a design role, a strong visual eye and thorough understanding of how typography, layout, color impact design/development is also necessary. It is required that this individual is someone with fresh ideas, a positive attitude, good non-technical communication skills.

Interact daily with other team members developing applications through an Agile SCRUM methodology. Build and maintain business relationships with peers and managers by providing prompt communication and accurate service. Represent the company in a positive and supportive manner at all times.

  • Build features/write applications based on business and technical requirements. Provide time lines, estimates, and status for development project milestones and responsible for meeting all assigned deadlines.

  • Ensure the quality, feel and usability of our applications meet or exceed the expectations of our customers (brand teams and consumers).

  • Coach and train UI Developers on Demandware development processes and best practices. Demonstrate teamwork, accountability, positive change.

  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and innovations.

Ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects and competing priorities 5. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in a matrix environment 6. Ability to work effectively from a remote home office location 7. Ability to work with and influence team members to achieve mutual goals 8. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Applications 9. Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States. 10. Candidate must have a valid driver's license Desired Characteristics: 1. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 2. Ability to forecast and deliver on a schedule to meet quarterly revenue targets 3. Previous experience in construction or working with the building trades 4. Ability to communicate complex technical issues in a customer-friendly manner 5. Experience with large-scale project management where deadlines where met on or ahead of schedule; construction, IT or installations experience preferred; 6. Demonstrated customer service experience working in a clinical environment 7. Ability to provide constructive feedback to installation teams and contractors 8. Knowledge/experience with the healthcare industry and GEHC products 9. Proficient in project management software such as MS Project 10. Proficient with design tools such as AutoCAD & Visio 11. Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification 12. Formal coursework in project management 13.
