You bring extensive knowledge and deep expertise in Software/High Performance Computing as well as in technical computing fields, strong communication and collaboration skills and you always conduct yourself with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity. Most importantly you have a passion to build ingenious and game-changing things.

  • We are looking for an individual with significant software expertise in DevOps as well as integration with third-party web services, orchestration systems, control and management planes.

  • Candidate should be motivated and self-directed.

Requirements Key Qualifications:

  • BS and/or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • Must have Linux, Lustre, and/or Unix software administrative expertise with a focus on testing.

  • Development experience with scripted languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, etc.).

  • Experience in test case and test plan creation based on product specifics and statements of work

  • Must have strong experience with test automation, Unit Test, Functional Test, and System Test methodologies and applications.

  • Strong experience with Jenkins and other software build tools.

  • Experience with DevOps and orchestration services (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Kubernetes, Swarm, etc.).

  • Experience with virtualization and container-based technologies (vSphere, Hyper-V, KVM, Docker, Singularity, etc.).

  • Development experience with Java or Go (or C#, C++, C) or similar programming languages.

  • Strong experience working in and with Agile in production environments with frequent release cycles.

  • Experience with the Atlassian tool set BitBucket, Jira, and Confluence.

  • Full life-cycle development in an enterprise development environment is required.

  • Commitment to sound software engineering and testing principles.

  • Outstanding problem solving and technical triaging skills.

  • Ability to work well in a cooperative development environment, both within and across teams.

  • Solid written and verbal communications skills.

This position is for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to design complex PCAs for high performance supercomputing systems. The Electrical Design Engineer may work independently or with a senior electrical design engineer to design, develop, bring-up, validate, and release Cray's leading edge, high performance PCAs (printed circuit board assemblies) into production. Responsibilities: * Design new and derivative PCAs based on system and board design requirements * Work closely with power, mechanical, thermal and software engineers to develop leading edge, innovative, cost effective system solutions for the high-performance computing industry * Conduct reviews of your designs with the design and operations teams, and contribute to team design reviews per Cray's product design, development, and release processes * Bring-up, debug, and validate PCAs in an engineering test lab environment working independently or as part of a product development team * Release new PCA designs into manufacturing and support root cause issue resolution during volume production ramp up of those designs * Track and drive issue resolution, execute hands-on validation, debug issues to root cause, and document results * Document issue discovery, investigation plans/results, issue resolution, and issue closure in issue tracking data bases * Create documentation, specifications, test plans, and manufacturing assembly/build instructions * Work independently and/or participate in task teams addressing complex system/problem analysis Requirements Requirements: * BSEE with 7 years, or MSEE with 5 years of design experience in high speed PCA product design * Experience with OrCAD schematic capture preferred * Proficiency with Allegro PCB layout tools for PCB design review/collaboration is a plus * Knowledge of compute complex/memory design and FPGAs is a plus * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Some travel may be required * Please note that Cray does not use Google Hangouts for any interviews.
