Responsibilities

As a member of our development team, you will have the following opportunities:

  • Identify, propose, and implement solutions to challenges facing our customers worldwide.

  • Work closely with leaders in the ecommerce industry, including Amazon, eBay, Google, Alibaba, and more.

  • Ownership of one or more core components of the ChannelAdvisor platform, including software design, implementation, testing, and rollout.

  • Participate in a fast-paced agile development team building software as a service (SaaS) applications with potential for leadership roles.

  • Collaborate among a small, 5-8 person agile team with ownership of a core component of the ChannelAdvisor platform.

  • Design and build software that scales across hundreds of servers and thousands of customers with very high throughput.

  • Work with a team of peers who are smart, professional, and share a passion for creating great software.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a closely-related field.

  • Experience developing web applications, working with databases, and consuming APIs.

  • Understanding of relevant software development tools including version control, build processes, debuggers, and test frameworks.

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience developing commercial software.

  • Experience using no-SQL technologies such as Redis and ElasticSearch.

  • Experience with .NET programming technologies such as C# and ASP.NET MVC.

  • Experience with cloud computing infrastructures such as AWS or Azure.

  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver practical minimum viable products.

  • Proven track record of creating software that scales to dozens or hundreds of servers in a distributed, fault tolerant manner.

  • Ability with architecture and software design

  • Experience working with SQL Server databases

  • Multi-threading experience

  • Performance tuning and optimization for high scale systems

This individual will work under direct supervision, assists in research and fact-finding to develop or modify information systems. Assists in preparing detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains those programs.
