Software Engineer

Applicant will be a software engineer as part of a dynamic cross functional Agile team contributing to the development and maintenance of airborne and ground-based systems. Applicant will participate in all aspects of the full software development lifecycle.

The applicant will have experience in and contribute to full software development lifecycle including requirements generation, system and software design and implementation, and integration and test. The applicant will contribute his/her expertise in full software development lifecycle programming to software products that span the avionics services in embedded software and ground-based systems. Applicant should be able to take general direction and provide creative solutions to the software development to meet the mission objectives.

Development will primarily be in Ada with some C++. Applicant will correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Applicant will support integration testing of the products in test labs and assist test engineers from early integration through flight test. Good oral and written communication skills required as is the ability to flex and adapt in a fast-paced multi-site team environment.

Good presentation skills. Applicant will have the following skills and experience: Strong programming background with 9+ years of experience including experience in Ada programming Experience in programming MIL-STD-1553 busses Experience in using Agile tools, e.g.

Jira, Bitbucket, Git, GitLab, etc. Experience with Linux application or server-side development Experience using standard office software tools/ solutions e.g., Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) Level: Level 4:
