Full-time opportunity for anAPI/Microservices developer with a strong hands-on development track record in building integrations utilizing a variety of integration products, tools, protocols, technologies and patterns.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in technical field
  • 5+ years of integration and architecture experience
  • In-depth understanding of SOA/EAI/ESB concepts, SOA Governance, Event Driven Architecture, message based architectures, file sharing and exchange platforms, data virtualization and caching strategies, J2EE design patterns, frameworks
  • Experience developing in C#
  • Advanced skills implementing SOAP or REST using any of the market leading API Management tools and frameworks such as Spring Boot
  • Significant understanding of Microservice patterns & concepts & its application in problem solving
  • Understanding of cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud
  • Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and Container Management software (Kubernetes, Mesos) using Red Hat OpenShift
  • Experience with CI/CD and automated testing strategies

The ideal candidate should be able to quickly make an impact on the engineering team and work with the larger Flipgrid team to deliver an innovative and meaningful learning experience to millions of students and educators. Qualifications * 3+ years of Ruby or Rails experience with an emphasis on building, maintaining, and testing large-scale applications. * 3+ years of experience delivering solutions leveraging Relational Databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL). * 1+ year experience delivering high traffic and scalable public facing applications. * A strong working knowledge of building and maintaining REST APIs. * Experience working in a Continuous Delivery environment. * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. * A self-motivated and self-directed work ethic. Bonus Credit for: * Strong working knowledge of the AWS or Azure suite. * Experience with message queueing protocols (SQS, RabbitMQ, or equivalent). * Experience with ElasticSearch and Redis. * Experience working with video encoders and codecs. * Strong working knowledge running applications on Linux.
