Amyx is seeking a software engineer to support our DLA customer in Dayton with overall systems configuration and maintenance for a middleware application. The candidate will work with a team of similar experienced software engineers to ensure the reliability and stability of all infrastructure components supporting the DLA DGATE application. DLA DGATE is a service oriented architecture that enables the brokering of data services via multiple communications protocols (HTTPS, SFTP, MQ etc.) between DoD systems and DLA. The ideal candidate will possess Unix knowledge and experience preferably HPUX. Additonally, the candidate should have hands-on experience in Oracle RDBMS, general knowledge in network protocols such as LAN/WAN, at least three years of programming and scripting experience (Java, C, Perl, and Unix). This is a full-time job performed at the client site at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH.
Responsibilities and Daily Tasks:
Shall be proficient in administering in an enterprise Unix environment.
Assist in the delivery of IBM MQ configuration, administration, and monitoring support on IBM MQ Appliances, HP UNIX, Red Hat Linux, and Microsoft Windows and other technologies on which the IBM MQ middleware software is deployed.
Shall have the ability to program in PERL on UNIX
Respond to all support requests (including both automated system generated alerts and non automated alerts) .
Document procedures of designed scripts tools and related items
HP UNIX, Java, Perl, Oracle
Secret Clearance required
At least 3 years of relevant experience
DoD IAT II required within six months of hire
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Familiarity with SOA concepts.
Experience supporting a DoD IT program and familiarity with the DoD SDLC.
UNIX Knowledge and experience (preferably HPUX but not required)
Overall knowledge and experience on RDBMS (preferably Oracle)
Overall Network Protocols, LAN/WAN concepts.
Some programming (Java, C, Perl, etc.) and scripting (unix, etc.) knowledge
