The Challenge

We're looking for an engineer who loves building services for the creative professional and implementing features across the full Web Solution Stack for Adobe Stock. Adobe Stock is a service that provides designers and businesses with access to hundreds of millions of high-quality, curated, royalty-free photos, vectors, illustrations, templates, and 3D assets, for all their creative projects. The Adobe Stock service is built right into Adobe desktop apps to search, browse, and add images to Creative Cloud Libraries, and get instant access to assets across desktop and mobile devices.

What you'll do

You'll be working as part of a team, creating innovative new features and maintaining existing ones for Adobe Stock (stock.adobe.com) and underlying micro services using Agile methods in a CI/CD environment. The perfect candidate will need a keen eye for details and high standards for code quality and efficiency. Knowledge of best practices in building scalable applications is highly desirable. Candidates who enjoy tackling complex technical challenges, have a passion for delighting customers and who are self-motivated to push themselves in a team oriented culture will thrive in our environment.

What you need to succeed

  • 5+ years of experience developing consumer facing web applications

  • Strong experience building microservices in Node.JS and/or PHP

  • Must be an expert in Javascript and comfortable with ES6, Redux, Express, & Webpack

  • Front end development experience with both HTML & CSS (SCSS, bootstrap3, OOCSS, BEM)

  • B.S. in Computer Science, or a related field

  • Knowledge of how to apply computer science principles like algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and data flow and storage

  • Knowledge of best practices and SOLID design principles in object oriented programming and CI/CD processes

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of security best practices (e.g. SQL injection, XSS and other exploits) is a plus

  • Experience with quality driven development and tools, writing your own unit tests and integration tests is a plus

We are looking for someone who has a strong gray box testing background and experience testing both services and desktop software. If you are interested in joining a team of passionate people who love to build products that deliver a delightful user experience, we look forward to hearing from you! https://stock.adobe.com/ What you'll do * Work in an agile scrum development process, performing gray box and black box testing * Gain knowledge of the features and understand functional use-cases to transform them into executable test plans * Own the assigned product area, write test plans, test cases, design and execute test plans for multiple platform applications (Web, API, mobile…etc) * Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers and Automation QE to maintain and execute tests as well as developing testing tools and procedures as needed by QE. * Create/track defects and work closely with developers to troubleshoot the logs / resolve issues * Review and triage test failures; reproduce, debug, isolate problems and verify fixes. * Deliver quality bug reports that include steps to reproduce, logs, clear description of actual vs expected results, screenshots / recorded logs * Keep team members informed of issues that affect the project and escalate risks/concerns promptly * Be an active participant in planning and designing product features with the ability to view the application from a customer perspective and delivering a 5-star experience. What you need to succeed * BS Degree with minimum 5 years of software testing experience. * Hands-on experience using API testing tools such as Postman. * Ability to understand code in Java, Javascript or other programming languages to debug issues and execute/run existing automation tests. * Advanced knowledge of software testing tools, defect and test case management tools such as JIRA. * Experience in dealing with analytics, data validation, comfortable with SQL and other databases. * Proficiency using continuous integration tools such as git, Jenkins. * Ability to follow instructions to build and test the code in local/docker environments. * Experience investigating issues using tools such as Splunk and server logs. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills; can effectively articulate complex ideas and influence others through well-reasoned explanations.
