Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Software Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on a 4x10 schedule. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and integrate Test Software Simulation Systems

  • Analyze and interpret formal and informal customer requirements and generate corresponding lower level requirements that acknowledge technical and schedule constraints

  • Consult with customer stakeholders and present ideas in small group settings

  • Create innovative technical design in compliance with established requirements

  • Build high quality, fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design

  • Define, implement and document system test

  • Performing troubleshooting as required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 2 years' experience OR Master's Degree in a STEM discipline

  • Work a 4x10 second shift schedule: Tuesday - Friday,10 hours daily.

  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret or Top Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing software/writing code in C

  • Experience with Python software language and development tools

  • Web Development Experience

  • Current Secret or Top Secret Clearance preferred

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Principal Software Engineer/ Sr. Principal Software Engineer - Vehicle Management Systems to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida. Essential Functions: * Work with the lead test engineer and a team of software developers to establish and develop test methods and techniques * Perform integration testing, regression testing, and formal qualification testing in an agile software development environment * Document software problems and verify fixes * Design, develop, and maintain software test plans, software test cases, software test procedures, and automated software test in compliance with program functional, technical, and performance requirements * Troubleshoot and modify test tools and test scripts * Generate software test data, perform test data analysis, and develop test documentation * Participate in formal software inspection processes, customer meetings, and user events * Provide support to customer testers during acceptance testing, including test procedure walkthroughs, documentation of testing issues and test results, and answering questions on system functionality * This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance as well as Program Special Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs We offer flexible work arrangements, great learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment.
