Metrea Management provides central services to 12 global business units via Operations, Solutions, Strategy, Legal, and Finance teams.

Position Summary

This is a senior Java Frameworks developer position for a high priority and highly visible malware analysis modernization program. The individual will work with a dynamic, energic and innovation-driven team to develop new capabilities supporting the front-end processing of data for a mission critical tool. The individual will also support the modernization of the front-end processing services.

Essential Functions Statements

• Java application development - no front-end necessary

• Agile methodology experience

• NiagaraFiles experience

• Twenty (20) years of software engineering experience is required along with a bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for the BS degree.

Competency Statements

• Skilled with developing, deploying, and troubleshooting Java applications in a Linux environment

• MongoDB, Spring or Spring Boot, and Kubernetes experience desired

Supervisory Responsibility

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical abilities may be required.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require, although no on-call work is expected for this position. Telework up to 50% is being developed for this position but has not yet been approved.

Facility Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland

Travel

There is not expected to be any required travel for this position.

Required Education, Experience and Certificates

Education: bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline

Experience:

• 20 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer/Developer

• Java application development - no front-end necessary

• Agile methodology experience

• NiagaraFiles experience

Certificates and Licenses:

• Not required

Preferred Education, Experience and Certificates

Experience: MongoDB, Spring or Spring Boot, and Kubernetes experience desired

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Must be able to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance.

Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Employee must be a US citizen.

Employee must have and maintain a TS SCI Clearance Level, ideally with full scope polygraph
