Job Description:

Do you like to design and build things that scale? Our team works to develop the tools which create a cloud platform which is used by some of the biggest companies on the planet to develop, build and operate distributed systems with millions of simultaneous users, and deal with data sets whose growth is currently measured in petabytes/day. We are a fast paced team of architects and engineers that are always learning and improving, finding solutions to complex problems, and automating the mundane to allow us to focus on more important work.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing API-driven micro-services that combine into large and complex platforms

  • Maintaining automated test suites using CI/CD tools

  • Participating in collaborative projects with small software engineering teams

  • Develop automation, processes, and tools designed to make our services simpler and more robust

  • Participate in troubleshooting, capacity planning and analysis, performance analysis activities

  • Design software solutions based on business needs and requirements

Critical Hiring Criteria

  • Obsession with software scalability and performance under high loads

  • Love for learning new technologies

Please bring to the table:

  • Development experience, comfortable working in multiple languages at once and learning new languages (F#, Java, Python and Golang a plus)

  • Experience working in collaborative coding environments (peer review, continuous integration and deployment, etc.)

  • Experience with Linux/Unix development or systems administration

  • Understanding of containerization and virtualization technologies

  • Ability to identify tasks which require automation and implement required automation

  • BA/BS in Computer Science preferred, or equivalent experience (advanced degrees preferred)
