The Software Development Technical Lead will be based in Hollis, New Hampshire and will require some travel. The successful candidate will help develop and build Farm's software and electrical engineering team and work closely with internal and external resources in the development of electro-mechanical medical devices and systems. The position will receive general direction from the site General Manager, but work with minimal supervision and is expected to exert independent action and initiative.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do..

  • Lead the design & development of new software products in compliance with defined processes and industry standards.

  • Perform embedded firmware development in C/C++. Development includes driver development for different MPU / MCU platforms and complex algorithms (including control systems).

  • Create functional, interface and performance specifications for software subsystems.

  • Develop software architecture from requirements.

  • Develop software design specifications from requirements specifications and architecture.

  • Collaborate and manage external Systems / Software and Hardware Engineering team during development to develop cross-functional solutions.

  • Work with project team to integrate software with electronic and mechanical hardware.

  • Manage outside suppliers for software engineering services.

  • Provide accurate, well-defined, and articulate verbal and written presentations to clients.

  • Interact with the design and human factors disciplines to develop good processes, close working relationships, and successful products.

  • Work with business development teams to help communicate Farm's software engineering capabilities to prospective clients

Here is some of what you'll need (required)

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.

  • 10+ years of embedded software development experience.

  • Experience in developing and architecting systems and devices from the ground up.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in embedded software design including:

  • C/C++ programming

  • Embedded programming for common microcontrollers such as ARM, PIC

  • Use of software tools for embedded applications (compiler, linker, boot loader, debugger, code management)

  • Design and development of multi-threaded, modular and efficient embedded applications

  • Experience with motion control and signal processing

  • Inter-system communication (SPI, I2C)

  • Wired communication (USB, Ethernet, Serial) & Wireless communication (ZigBee, Bluetooth/BLE, Wi-Fi)

  • Must have prior relevant experience in medical device design

Here are a few of our preferred experiences

  • Strong background in (embedded) Linux internals (kernel, drivers etc.).

  • Linux development experience with uBoot, USB Host, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP.

  • QNX (or equivalent) development experience with BSP, IPL, Driver, TCP/IP.

  • Experience working with sensor technologies and electromechanicals preferred

  • Experience in consulting/working with a diverse amount and types of projects a plus

Vishay UltraSource in Hollis, NH is currently seeking a full-time Quality Engineer Data Analyst responsible for the Process Data Analyst will support our quality and on-time shipment goals by performing data analysis of process data as well as supporting statistical analysis of process engineering continuous improvement projects. The Process Data Analyst will also monitor key performance metrics and assist in corrective action initiatives to improve the stability of those key performance metrics. Primary Responsibilities: * Identify and suggest defect reduction opportunities to Process Engineering; analyzing trends, key metrics and other quality and statistical data. * Perform internal audits, as part of the Internal Audit Team, and document results as required. * Provide detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports on yield and other quality performance metrics by reviewing key data such as quality performance results, gathering data including Cpk studies, control charts, pareto charts and corrective actions. Summarize and communicate results. * Contribute information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change. * Collaborate with Production and Engineering personnel to drive root cause and corrective action for work orders with high defect rates. * Review and validate DOEs, interim and final improvement reports, review and approval of process improvement plans including but not limited to statistical testing and validation of customer requirements with change control. * Determine additional process metrics to be monitored and how they will be sampled, using statistical process control tools. * Initiate, track and perform capability and gage R&R studies on new and existing processes and equipment. * Encourage and train the team to use data to solve problems and develop the quality, environmental, functional and reliability test program to continuously monitor and improve products. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Technical/Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science/Programming or related field and/or 5+ years of relevant experience. * Exceptional skills in Microsoft Excel and Access. * Basic knowledge of applicable software to infer statistical data such as JMP. * Demonstrated planning, statistical, analytical, and problem solving skills, and the ability to identify areas for efficiency and process improvements. * Previous experience within a cleanroom environment preferred. * Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Preferred, Certified Quality Engineer preferred. * Familiar with AS9100/ISO9001 and Industry specifications such as MIL Standard and/or IPC. * Customer-oriented attitude, effective communication and report writing skills. * Expertise with the tools, concepts and methodologies of quality management. * Demonstrates a high level of integrity, honesty and a commitment to quality. * Ability to lead projects to successful completion.
