LivePerson is currently seeking an experienced professional to join our Developer Experience team as a Software Development Manager in Seattle, WA. You will lead the front-end and back-end development of LivePerson's developer portal and own the end-to-end developer journey on You will have a track record of leading successful Software Engineering teams. This position provides an opportunity to join a fast-growing organization and shape the future of conversational commerce.

You should be an expert in:

  • HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Jquery, responsive design and web development front-end frameworks.

  • Web authentication methods including OAuth, JWT, JWS, etc.

  • Working with production teams to set up servers, load balancers, etc.

  • Performance testing and monitoring tools.

  • Unit testing as well as contract testing testing techniques.

  • Working in an Agile environment and leading using Agile methodologies.

  • Performing API and code reviews.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a cross-functional team of software development engineers, designers and product managers.

  • Develop high-quality, scalable and reusable web components for global use, powered by a CMS and DAM.

  • Work with leadership, stakeholders and broader web development teams to propose, ideate, develop and implement web solutions to achieve business goals.

  • Work with production teams to ensure a secure, scalable and reliable setup in LivePerson's global data centers.

  • Setup and implement performance measurement and monitoring frameworks to surface areas of strength and weakness.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • 8+ years software management experience for web applications or services, including UI and UX responsibility.

  • 8+ years of experience in web coding, testing, implementation, maintenance and debugging.

  • Strong track record in designing systems for scalability, performance and reliability.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience working with remote development teams, including external development partners.

  • Experience engineering websites for translation into different languages.

  • Experience building integrations with enterprise CRM.

  • Experience with A/B testing, audience segmentation and targeting.
