Metron Aviation, an Airbus subsidiary, is looking to expand its ranks to support the growing need of Air Traffic Management (ATM), product development and mission analysis. Metron Aviation's long-term strategy is to support and accelerate ATM programs that will dramatically improve global airspace capacity, efficiency and environmental sustainability.

We are seeking an Intern to help support our projects during Summer 2019. Metron Aviation is a collaborative environment that fosters advanced research, concept exploration, product development and support and interaction with the nation's leading aviation subject matter experts.


  • Hack and code software according to requirements and project deadlines in an Agile development atmosphere

  • Learn new technologies and apply as appropriate to the design and development of software projects

  • Communicate effectively with team members and internal clients regarding project goals/status, project support, and technology capabilities

  • Develop aviation domain experience to further knowledge across the company and to add insight on projects


  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related discipline

  • Experience with basic Java, SQL, Shell scripting a plus

  • Experience with UI/Web development a plus (JavaScript and various JavaScript frameworks/libraries)

  • Windows and/or Linux experience

  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident

  • Candidate must be able to pass a background investigation and to obtain a Position of Public Trust designation

This is a paid internship position.

This individual will have the ability participate in the evolution of our products as we scale including our continuous integration and continuous deployment environment, test automation frameworks, software development practice, integration, and test.
