Title: Software Development Engineer III

Location: 7575 Gateway Boulevard, Suite 300, Newark, CA 94560

Duties: Develop highly scalable microservices/software modules written in Java, Scala using Dropwizard framework and build tools, such as Maven and Gradle.

Develop highly scalable microservices/software modules written in C#/.NET. Use analytic computing and algorithms skills for time and cost-efficient computing. Work independently to drive initiatives in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle, including planning, designing, development, testing, and debugging to deliver features on-time.

Develop efficient storage and retrieval of data using RDBMS tools, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and related.

Create and maintain analytical data services built on top of Snowflake data-warehouses. Apply distributed systems competencies towards improving existing products and the developing new software solutions using tools, such as Apache, Spark, and related.

Contribute towards designing and implementing architecture of services to make more manageable and efficient. Serve as a point-of-contact for other teams. Use cloud technologies and services, including AWS S3, EC2, EKS, Kinesis, RDS and related.

Use columnar data storage format to store large amounts of model loss data in Apache Parquet format. Develop and maintain RESTful API's auto-documentation using Swagger. Create technical specifications documentation and design test plans.

Handle database migrations using migration tools, such as Flyway. Build and publish services on best-in-class virtualization technology of Docker-Kubernetes architecture. Collaborate with Product team on technical requirements of product features.

Collaborate with other development teams to design product features, coordinate dependencies and timing, and track implementation progress. Perform code reviews and quality assurance activities. Monitor performance measurement, bottleneck analysis, API security and resource usage.

Requirements: Requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a closely related technical field plus at least two (2) years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a related position. Must have experience with the following: providing technical support, including troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving defects in production, UAT, and stage environments; applying knowledge of multithreading concepts, object-oriented design patterns, algorithms, data structures, systems design and unit/integration testing; following software development methodologies, including Agile, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment; object-oriented programming in Java/J2EE, Scala, C# building microservices using RESTful API; using Java web services framework such as Dropwizard; using AWS services including S3, EKS, EC2, RDS; building SQL applications using JDBC drivers for relational database management; applying knowledge of Linux and Shell programming; using build tools such as Maven, Gradle, and version control systems, including GIT; working with Docker containers using Kubernetes; using distributed processing technologies such as Spark; and using warehousing technologies such as Snowflake.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $147,368 to $159,500, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position.

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
