We are looking for engineers to join the Infrastructure Management and Automation team. In this role you would be working on developing tools and automation to manage our growing infrastructure. We are looking for engineers to join the Infrastructure Management and Automation team. In this role you would be working on developing the next generation of tools and automation to manage our growing infrastructure. From purchase to go-live, we are responsible for automating and managing the full pipeline of all internal resources. What does the job entail?

  • Help GoDaddy build the next generation of tools and automation to manage our growing infrastructure

  • Participate in agile concepts such as daily stand-up meetings, task tracking boards, design and code reviews, automated testing, continuous integration and deployment

  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure that their assets are delivered quickly and with the highest quality

Do you have what it takes?

  • BS or Master's degree in CS/CE or equivalent work experience

  • Passion to develop high-quality and extraordinary solutions to real complex distributed-computing problems

  • Understanding of standard web technologies (HTTP, JSON, etc)

  • Experience in developing RESTful API and services

  • Experience in Configuration Management (Puppet, Ansible, etc)

  • Experience with using Load Balancers and reverse proxy technologies (Nginx, or similar)

  • Excellent Linux administration skills and understanding of system performance areas (memory, swap, disk, i/o, network i/o, etc)

  • Experience with cloud computing environments and applications (AWS, GCP)

  • Programming proficiency in high level languages such as Python and JavaScript

  • Knowledge in relational databases (MySQL, or similar) and data stores (Redis, or similar)

  • Experience with source control systems (GIT) and software development disciplines

  • Effective system design and problem solving skills

  • Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization techniques

  • Willingness to work in a dynamic agile environment and participate in all aspects of our agile process

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, team spirit, and positive approach

  • Experience with devops and understand systems like docker, OpenStack, Artifactory, Kubernetes or Docker

  • Experience contributing to or managing Open Source projects is a plus

  • Experience with Configuration Management tools (ServiceNow) is a plus

  • Experience with bare metal provisioning tools and frameworks are a big plus (IPMI, Redfish)

In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of engineering work in the control, construction, integration, and maintenance of complex electro-optical, thin-film deposition, and vacuum systems. Software Automation Engineer Job duties: * Charter and lead projects with Engineering Team to improve test or process equipment capability, increase availability and uptime, reduce cycle time and/or labor cost, and improve yields by eliminating handling related losses, as assigned * Mechanical robotic systems, automated electro-optical and high vacuum thin-film deposition system monitoring and control. * Design contributions include digital and analog circuit design skills and programming experience in multiple applications including DSP, embedded microcontrollers, electro-optical test (both illumination control and measurement), camera/video systems and image analysis. * Develop electrical design, schematics and drawings in CAD * Power up electrical systems and configure hardware per application specifications * The ability to present a detailed design description including both mechanical and electrical tolerance analyses in a peer, management and/or customer design review is necessary. Qualifications: * B.S. in Electrical, or Computer Engineering * 5+ years of experience in the automation industry * Proficient in Design/Drafting Tools as SolidWorks, Pro-E.
