Our e-commerce platform business intelligence team is responsible for automating financial data processes for supporting and enabling data-driven business decisions. We do this by working with massive datasets, extracting relevant information that ultimately helps Expedia deliver the best experience to our customers.
You are a Software developer that enjoys creating both user interfaces and back-end components, a creative problem solver, and enthusiastic of modern software development techniques and practices such as DevOps and Data Science engineering. You will be accountable for developing, improving, solving problems and maintaining eCPBI platform and respective ecosystem, with exposure to a wide set of technologies, and challenging business contexts. You will have the opportunity to work with third party tools such as Clarity, Workday and Oracle Financials.
What you'll do:
Evolve and develop tools, components, and operations processes (DevOps) used to empower the e-Commerce Platform Business Intelligence team.
Be part of a technical team that supports finance, leadership executives, and other teams: both technical and business.
Design and model solutions using software development technics.
Work with tools and hardware to help you succeed - we choose the best technologies to fit our needs (cloud, big data, .net, SQL, Linux, Python, web development).
Contribute to architect and develop scalable, resilient and performing applications.
Monitor and support our applications.
Who you are:
Relational database knowledge: architecture, design, and implementation - Knowledge of ETL and SQL is required
Proven experience in Full Stack Development systems (UI, Backend, Database).
Proficiency in Object-Oriented Design Development (Both Solution Design, as well Modeling).
Familiarity with DevOps tools and processes (Jenkins, Git, Chef)
Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem.
Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Eager to learn and share the insights with the team stay hungry for more.
A natural team player that places team success in front of personal success.
